DESCRIPTION:
Available for yourconsideration is a lovely and authentic Mon Ami Pierrot (“My Friend Pierrot”) alsoknown as Au Clair de la Lune (“By the Light of the Moon”) vintage silk scarf. Designedin 2003 by artist, Sandra Laroche in 2003, the motif takes its inspiration froman eighteenth century French folk song about a man named Lubin who asks hisneighbor, Pierrot, for a quill so he can write a letter.
The silk twill scarf,with hand rolled edges, measures approximately 36” x 36”. It is in marvelous, previously worn, vintagecondition. I see no marks. Please assume there may be some faint ones,however, since the scarf is vintage and previously owned. Faint runs are beginning along the edgeswhere the hem was hand-stitched. Thereis some writing on one of the box edges.
